Default Storm wont start , just loops around??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

My Storm (Vodaphone 9500) was working fine earlier today but I went to use it awhile ago and is was in a loop of just going around in circles trying to restart, small clock ticking on blanks screen, a white screen for a few seconds then black with RED light on??

I have pulled battery a few times now (leaving off for up to 30mins) but same thing..

it is (or was) running on the .90 beta software all fine up until today...

I tried plugging into pc to sync it but no change (no connection)

What do I do now to get it working...

Tks

Frosty

I ran into the same problem with my 9500 and .90. Stuck in a constant loop just like the OP described. The only way I was able to fix it was downgrading to an earlier OS version using loader /nojvm.

I got the same issue, I'm working on a solution for this atm...I've tried erasing it and it's not connecting as well...but see I was running the stable not the beta leaked...so I dunno how the hell that happened.

EDIT: I believe I've solved it!

Go ahead and follow this: h-t-t-p://w-w-w.blackberryfaq. com/index.php/What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_w ipe
During this step I unpluged my battery, and then after it was done i plugged it back in and got a error 503 and so my OS was gone then i would go to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and run the Loader.exe to reload my os.

Sorry I couldn't post links yet...:(

Tks bigdanny

I tried this but get this error..

"Unable to reconnect to the device during a multistage load operation"

This is very frustrating...

It all seems to have happended since loading the .90 beta firmware...

Seems a few people are having the same problem..

Anyone had this problem that hasnt loaded .90?

Any further help would be greatfully appreciated..

Tks

Hi Frosty. I had this exact same problem & then did these steps to rectify it:

1. Delete all Blackberry software off your computer
2. Reinstall Desktop Manager
3. Reinstall a DOWNGRADED version of your OS onto desktop manager - ie (I did .78 when my phone was trying to run .90)
4. With DM open, connect your phone via USB & update software using application loader

This worked perfectly for me.

Hi Regan

Ok thanks thats what I ended up doing and I got it back going now on ver .78. I still cant get it to work on the .88 or .90 beta firmware though...

One other problem is the apps centre (the one where you install other not install apps from) is missing now?

Did you have this problem?
Anyone know how to get that icon back?

Tks

Default I have the same thing happening to BOLD but..

I tried power on the BOLD WITHOUT SIM card.
Then the BOLD is able to load like normal.

Then I insert the SIM and power on.
And the device start working again....

Think you can try if you have not wipe/ upgrade your OS yet.

Currently 3 of the 90 BOLD I manage is having the same problem.
