Default Calendar Sync

Please Login to Remove!

How do I make the 7100g Calendar changes show up in my microsoft office calendar on my desktop computer. I'm very new at this. I previously used Palm, and it happened automatically and showed up in a Palm desktop calendar ever time I synced. Is there a 7100g calendar I should be looking for?
Thanks

Have you installed the "Desktop Manager" software that came on the CD with the BB? Included with Desktop Manager is Intellisync, which allows you to sync the Calendar, Contacts, Notes and Tasks between the BB and Outlook.

Default re Calendar sync

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have installed the Intellisync, but no changes show up on my desktop computer on the Calendar or anything else.
I'll try again.

Open up your blackberry desktop and double click on the intellisync icon. There will be a button that says "configure PIM" change your settings in there to get it to sync with outlook.

Yeah, you should be able to configure all of that in the intellisync options of the Desktop Manager software to get this working. It should be listed under the Configure PIM option. Inside of there you can select where your address book, tasks, memos, and calender sync to.

Default Still can't sync calendar

How do you make the calendar on the 7100g sync with the desktop calendar. The ok button is ghosted out when I try to set it up in the PIM configuration. The calendar I'm trying to sync to is the Microsoft Works Calendar. It is not listed in the choices. How do I get it listed?
Thanks

My only guess is that you can't sync your BB with MS Works. I looked at my settings and I didn't see an option to sync with MS works. I don't know if I'm 100% correct but it is what I've seen in my settings.

I'm new at this but I've managed to get my bb to work with all my email accounts but when I go to Intellisync and try to configure PIM it gives me a message - "The specified Intellisync configuration is invalid" - I've reloaded the desktop manager - I don't know what else to try. I called Cingular and they're trying to tell me that my new bb won't work with Outlook 2003? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Maybe you set it up to sync with a program you don't have installed on your computer. I really don't have a clue as to why you would be getting this problem because there is no reason for you to if its set up right. I've never had this problem so thats why I'm only guessing at your solution. Maybe you set it up with office and you only have works on your computer or vice versa. Or something simliar to that.

For a person who has a blackberry, 9 times out of 10 they also have MS office either at work or at home. Its a business device and most businesses run MS office. I can't think of any reason why any business would run off the pre-installed MS works.
