Angry AIM on blackberry annoying

Please Login to Remove!

is there any way to change the setting of AIM on the 7100t to make it so that when someone IM's me it doesnt vibrate or make a sound, because when im talking on the phone and the vibration and the stupid AIM sound is in my ear i feel like dying
i changed the profile settings and it didnt change anything, and is there a way to get rid of the notification of (user) has IMed you, Open, Close

First of all; Welcome to the Blackberry forums. I have made a minor edit to the title of your thread, it is frowned upon when a user uses profanities in their titles.

That said; which IM client are you using? I assume the built in "OZ" client from T-mobile?

death to the bleepity bleepin' OZ client the BB comes with. i know there are others but it should come with a client OOB that's just like the AIM application in the sidekick. the most annoying thing with the oz client is it uses sms in the background and it only reads your "mobile device" buddy list rather than your entire buddy list.

oops, sorry bout that one!
yea its the oz client, are there other clients i can download that use my whole buddy list? and arent as annoying!

Do a search for Ramble IM, it's a free AIM client and works rather well.

I have a BB 7105T and I initialy had the problem being described but to Notification Settings under AIM and changed it to use profiles... from profiles u can control the way ur AIM alerts u
