Default Was BES, now BIS, but can't use data services, it policies remain on device

Please Login to Remove!

I have a blackberry 9000 bold 3g device, sware version 4.6. I was using it in Australia with my employer there as a BES user with IT restrictions etc.

I have since left that employer and am now in the US on a 3g carrier here.

I can receive emails, but when i try to reply it says "no mail services configured, will be saved to drafts only".

When i try to use the browser, it says "device doesnt have any browser configuration service book entries. please contact your service provider to enable the browser". i often get a "java null point" error or similar.

i also cant use blackberry messenger.

i have had my carrier in in the USA resend me the service books, several times. i have made sure my carrier has the right browser settings that are consistent across my device, them as the carrier and RIM browser/web, which is apparently important.

also for example, when i go into email setup wizard on the device, the only option i have is to set up another BES / enterprise account. the device gives no other choices, so i have to use my carrier's website instead.

it has been months and i have tried everything. i have downloaded JL commander (JL_cmder) app that is posted here and should help remove IT policies and restrictions, but i cant get it to even open properly once installed. My PC is using 64 bit vista OS.

i have all my data backed up, and ready to just do a factory reset, but i cant even find the wipe function on the device, in help menu, or on the desktop manager.

any ideas?? very very frustrated, and no one seems to know what to do with my situation, and i am sure i'm not alone here.

many thanks in advance.

You cant just wipe, the policy remains then. You need to use JL commander and reset to factory. Just search for JL commander.

Default JL Commander Doesnt Work on 64 bit versions of Windows

I got JL Commander to start finally after several downloads, but the issue was/is my 64 bit version of Windows Vista.

I cant use the JL Cmdr application or make a choice from the menu, as i get these "unsupported 16 bit application" errors, which quotes an error with the "choice.com" part of the application.

I am using version 1.9.1 of JL Commander - is that the latest?

Does any know a work around for this issue with a 64 bit OS, so i can wipe my IT policies on my device?

Thanks.
