I have a 9900 which is dead, won't power on, nor do any lights go on when trying to charge the battery, etc.

Any suggestions on how to debug/fix? I'm pretty apt with the electronics, having changed a LCD before or soldered parts right on the main board...

Not much you can do if it will not power on.

Did you drop it or get it wet?

Have you tried a new battery and/or new charger?

If dropped or wet, see the post by dc/dc.

If you have tried a new battery and charger and still have the problem, then see the post by dc/dc.

Try connecting it to a charger WITHOUT the battery installed, and then putting the battery in after it's connected to the charger. Like Dubdub said, a new battery might be needed. You can take it to a store and ask to try another battery before buying one. Often stores keep extras on hand, or they will take one out of the demo model on display for you to try it.

If you can't get any connection out of it at all it's most likely hard bricked, not sure if a usb jig is available for the blackberry
