Default Trackball issues

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone else had this problem. I usually carry my Pearl in my pocket without a case or anything. I just recently discovered that my trackball no longer works. It can only scroll up and to the side. I have no idea how this happened since I have never dropped my phone. Anyone have any other ideas asides from having to send it in. BTW, I'm from Canada, Rogers. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

That was stupid, I managed to get teh trackball to work again. Something was stuck inside the trackball mechanism, dirt an dust popped out. Everything is fine now.

man, i'm having problems with the PEARL on my pearl... it wont scroll down sometimes, rare but it would usually correct itself. Now the frequency of it pooping out is up a whole lot and its not correcting itself as fast either...

I'm thinking I need to open up n really clean this thing? A li hesitant to go in though. Anyone having a bad case of track ball not scrollingingness?

I did a search and this was the closest thread I found so I'm resurrecting it because I ate peanut butter n jelly sandwiches as a child.

I have been concerned about this ever since I bought mine. It is almost ASKING for junk to get in there.

I have had this happen 2 or 3 times in the couple of months that I've had it. I've fixed it in the past by pressing a little harder when I scroll in that direction (not enough to trigger a trackball press, but more than just resting my thumb on it) and it goes away after a few minutes. Still, if someone has a more definitive way to fix it (or clean it out periodically), I'd love to hear it.

! HELP !
-My trackball won't scroll Right or Down but it will scroll Left and Up just perfectly.. There has to be a remedy somewhere. I have noticed that whenever I breath on the device, it works well; but a moment later it stops working againxxx8230; I have had my pearl for less than a week.
