Default Help! - I lost my OS and can't get it back on...

Please Login to Remove!

While trying to upgrade to the .46 OS I got an error message from the DM saying that it lost communcation with the device. Now I have a white screen with a black line and when I rerun the application manager it says it can not communicate with the device. I have tried different USB ports, battery pull, etc.

I am getting desperate.

Help, please.

Ok, thanks. I had some really good pictures of my son on thre but it is my own fault that I did not save them off first. At present, that seems to be the least of my problems. I will let you know what happens.

Pictures on the Media Card will be fine. You can remove the media card.

Pictures in the device memory could be lost. If you have a backup, you are in good shape.

Your OS load might have already made the backup, it does that first off, before it deletes and loads anything, so you might be ok if you have that. Search your PC for any "*.ipd" file

Follow my linked instructions above... load the new OS to your BB.

After it is up and running well, no issues, then you will add your backup, via Desktop Manager > Restore/Advanced. Select what you need like messages, address book Database, Calendar, etc., AND RMS database, I believe, to get any pictures you had stored in the device memory.

You never answered my question, were your pictures stored in the device memory or the Media Card?
