I had Google maps 1.2.3 on 7130e VZW went to Settings --> Options --> Advanced Options --> Applications and deleted 1.2.3 then went to Google Maps using the BB Browser and installed 1.3 over the air. When I went to use it for the first time it tried to download the Terms and Conditions and comes up with Network Unavailable. Yet my browser and email is still working. Help any suggestions have reset with no success.

John, same thing is going on with me. If I leave it sitting it will eventually come up but I have yet to see any traffic reports nor do I know how to access them.

Finally found the fix. Go to Settings --> Options --> Advanced Options --> Applications. Now [B]Click[B] the wheel and select Modules. I found both gmaps8700+v4_0_1.1 - 1.2.3 and gmaps8700+v4_0_1.1 - 1.3.0 in spite of deleting the app and full reboot.

I deleted the 1.2.3 module and rebooted again, and now it's working fine.

I took this adivice and now my new Google Maps works likw a charm...

I uninstalled 1.2.3 and then installed 1.3 on my 7130c and for the first 3 hours or so everything was super slow. I actually thought that something broke. It's working better now. Still slower than the old version, but I guess the traffic and favorites has to come at a price.

I'm in San Diego, been using 1.3 for 2 days. Sometimes I get full traffic data quickly, othertimes it never finishes updating at all. Like others, I hope it's temporary growing pain.

OMG, Google Maps is HORRIBLY slow now! Granted my puny iDEN device wasn't the fastest before, but now this app is bordering on non-responsive. I hope they fix this soon.....

I'm not very happy with the way 1.3.0 (traffic version) runs on my 8700. Does anyone know how I can get version 1.2.3 back which I removed... D'oh!

Any answers out there?

Also, I have icons for both versions in my (7130e) application folder, but when I go to Settings --> Options --> Advanced Options --> Applications, only the new application is listed. I knw it's a small thing, but how do I erase the old icon? Thanks Again!!

Does anyone know where a list of the "30 Major Cities" is to see if my city is one of them, checked out all the links on Google's site and came up empty.

Thanks;

Point it to your city and select show traffic. What do you see? Do you see traffic info, or do you see the message "Traffic info is not available for this area"? The message is what I see, and I know for sure I'm not in one of the top 30. Don't know what the message would be if perhaps if it is pointed to one of the major cities and the traffic info system is down, however.
