Wink YouMail Invite?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Folks - while looking through some of the forums here, I read about youmail.com and their services... been waiting for about a week now for a change to register, but they don't seem to have opened the registration process again. I found out today that they are handling the registrations much like Google did at the beginning - so I was hoping that someone who has an account could send me an invite... any takers?

TIA,
Stac

I've used the youmail service for a few days now...Haven't come across any ads yet....Not 100% sold on the service because the only way i get notified of new voicemail is via SMS (I don't get the little icon on the BB screen).

i have 10 invites if interested...

So it only eats up your SMS? Isn't their forwarding out of network charges also? Also the VM indicator issue, you know if thats something they're working on? I would much rather the alert icon on the phone than the SMS alerts.

Same here. They are a classy operation though. A couple days after I signed up someone from their office called me to take my problems/suggestions down. I told him the biggest thing was for them to fix the problem where the Voicemail indicator icon does not come on for new voicemail. I'm actually considering switching back to the Tmo voicemail until this is resolved.

So anyone know about any additional charges that would get occur? I thought I read that when forwarding calls off network to this service your carrier charges per call.

Any info from the guys using this?

I tried the bbforum1 code and it didn't work, so if you still have an invite available I'd like one.

Take care,

yes - the VM indicator works on Cingular, and we're working on the other carrier networks. The forwarding charges are normal airtime minutes. Technically YouMail can work on Sprint, except Sprint charges a surcharge for call forwarding. That's why they're not listed on YouMail's site; until those charges can be waived.
