I tried and could not connect my 7100g to the blackberry desktop via bluetooth. Can it be done?

I have successfully paired them though, but could not get the desktop to scan the right ports.

any clue?

Short version. No.
Long version. This has been asked many, many times before. On the BlackBerry, the Bluetooth is for audio/wireless headset only. No data transfer of any sort.
