Default 7290/SonyEricsson BT problem

Hi guys, I've got a 7290, and a SE HBH-600. Pairing is fine, and the headset functions. The weird thing is that after a period of inactivity, say a couple of hours, the BT connection breaks. I no longer see little "triangles" beside the bluetooth icon on the home screen. Found this out when the handset rang, and I had to re-establish the link. Is this supposed to happen? Or did I do something wrong/not do something right with either the handheld or the headset?

My 7290 is running 3.8.0.139, service provider hasn't provided any update yet. :(

It does not matter what Bluetooth unit you use, after some period of inactivity (usually 5 minutes), the devices will not be paired, until you either activate the handsfree unit (by pressing the main button), or a call comes through.

Now, you should set the handsfree device to be trusted, as this way when a call does come through you are not prompted to allow the pair to re-connect. It will happen automatically.

Oh okay. I have set the headset as a trusted device already. Seems to work as you've said. Despite no connection, the headset becomes automatically "activated" when a call comes through. Thanks a lot! For a while I thought my headset was defective!

BTW, how do you like you 600 unit? I have the HBH-300, and I'm liking it better than the Motorola 820 unit I bought with the phone.

The form and fit is pretty good, the unit is quite light. Sometimes I even forget I'm wearing it. The voice quality appears to be good as well. My only complaint is that the battery life is rather short. So far it's only lasted about a day with sporadic calls here and there. You'll definitely need to have a charger handy. I'd say go with the 660. Reviews are great, plus battery life has been improved a great deal.
