Default BB8820 - Questions..?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,
I have finally purchased the 8820 and it should be arriving tomorrow. I have been reading through some of the posts regarding the setup/features of the 8820.

I was hoping someone could help me with these questions I have.

1) Wifi - Can this be used for email if I am getting the BB unlimited?
2) Will the internal GPS work without Telenav?
3) I was with Verizon and had the BB7250, I was on a BES for a while, but also was able to use all of my pop accounts, gmail etc. I am assuming I can do the same with the unlimted plan from Att?

Finally, anyone in or around the Boston area have any complaints with the ATT coverage?

Thanks

1) Yes , I take it your asking if You have the wifi on will it access email?
2) Yep internal GPS works fine with bbmaps, and I have the 30 trial of telenav
3) I think you can but NOT 100% sure I understand fully your question

I live in the Albany NY area and the coverage is fine, I have no complaints

MichaelBB - How did you get the BBMaps to work on your 8820? See this link http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft...y.do?code=maps . It clearly reads that BBMaps is not available on ATT Network. Just curious how to get around this.

Yep, this is no problem. However, you will need to pay for the BES data plan from AT&T. You can have one BES account and up to 10 additional BIS email accounts (as long as your BES allows this.)

I downloaded and use the BBMaps program on my 8820 too. I didn't have to do anything in order to get the icon to show on my screen. I just downloaded the program and there it was. I do want to state that I use the BBToday Theme and that may have something to do with it.
