I installed opera mini on my 8330 but whenever I clik on a link in an email it defaults to the original BB browser. Will everything still work correctly if I delete the original browser.

You cannot set OM as the default browser. It will open the BB Browser by default.

Best bet is to copy any links from your email and swap out to the Opera Mini browser and paste the URL.

Not ideal, but it is the only way for now.

i removed OM when i upgraded to the new OS. no reason to have a separate browser on the phone when the bb browser does the same job.

I don't know how you can say that. BB does not do the same job. There are some pages that do not display properly and OM will. A good example if this forum, try BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community. Your Number One BlackBerry Community[/url] and you will see it does not display in it proper format.

Yes.
There is a need for both. The hope is the native browser would improve but again both are important in the world of browsing. I actually use Opera 70% of time over native browser

Me too. For surfing - OperaMini, for OTA downloads - default browser

The best bet for the BB Browser is to use the wap site. I does a very good job in my opinion.

You can also adjust the emulation mode in the BB browser to help render more accurate pages. I agree with Zerog - the wap bb site is pretty good, and I actually prefer most wap and mobile sites over the full html - faster to load, cuts out the junk and gets right to the point. I just never was able to get used to OM.
