Default Some help needed with VPN at University of Ghent

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I'm a student at the university of Ghent and we have Wifi in all buildings. I can access it with my laptop via the cisco VPN client. But i wan't to do this with my BB to. All information about the settings for windows, mac and iPhone can be found here: helpdesk.ugent.be/vpn/en/

I found the VPN profiles option under options -> Security -> advanced security options -> VPN

I created a new profile, but now what? Don't know which type to select, there are three cisco's. Which one should i choose?

And than there are a lot of options but i have absolutely no idea what to fill in. (I found some similar looking options in the iPhone section on the site, but BB has way more settings).

Can someone please help me with telling me what to fill in at every single setting to make it work?

Thanks in advance.

You will probably need to talk to the University IT staff about that one. They are probably the nly ones that know the settings.

I already did, the answer is:

We don't have the opportunity to test every device and give a solution. The info published on our site about the iPhone is delivered by iPhone users.

So in other words: figure it out yourself..

Oh, and they sent me this after my second mail:

Description=VPNUGent
Host=rtrvpn.UGent.be
AuthType=1
GroupName=ipsecclient
GroupPwd=cisco123
Username=username (i know this one, i have some experience with the school's VPN )
SaveUserPassword=0
EnableBackup=0
EnableNat=1
TunnelingMode=0
EnableLocalLAN=1

The settings on the blackberry have other names, and there are way more than these 11 here..
