BIS has to be connected through wi-fi I believe.
Is it connected? i.e. the wi-fi icon is white not grey?

Now, I dont have cell signal and wifi is weak, but I do sit infront of a PC with Internet connection. If I connected my blackberry to the PC via USB, can I take advantage of the internet connectivity?

Nope.
You can use the internet on your phone to get internet on your PC, but not the other way around.

No, you cannot use the internet connection on a PC to get internet on a Blackberry.

I have access to internet on my bold9650 via wifi(router, not PC I guess), I do have the data plan with my carrier, but I have no cell service where I am and wifi is week. So looking to either find a way to boost that signal or hard wiring it.

You cannot hard wire it.
Have you tried a battery pull to resolve your not connecting to app world via wi-fi issue?

If your wifi connection is weak to begin with, use something on the router or on the phone itself to strengthen the signal. I don't know how well the wifi boosters for the phones work. I agree with MidnightDraven that it cannot be hardwired. Where is your router sitting?
