Default Help!

I have an 8700g from T-Mobile, I have the JDK & Developer tools installed, without an 8700g simulator. I can simulate the BB and get to the web,but am unable to save the .mid and/or .mp3 files I have created. Thanks...

what simulator are you using? i think there is a generic 8700 series.

once uv opent the audio file in what looks like a media player on the sim scroll over to the 3 horizontal lines and click in the track wheel and there should be the optio to save.

alright I finally got the MDS simulator by disabling my firewall. The problem now is that once I type a webpage into the browser it seems to be stuck on "requesting" and after a while it says a connection could not be made. However, I know for a fact that it is sending data out because my wireless indicator is showing activity. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Somewhere between the simulator the MDS Studio and the network connection is not doing as its being told. Just to check on a few basics;

1.make sure the MDS Studio command prompt is still running at the same time as the simulator (and its command prompt)
2.java.exe (usually located in C:\Program Files\Java\.......\bin) has outbound access to the internet through the firewall generaly to remote port 80.

Are you getting any errors given by either commend prompts, or is your firewall logging that its blocked anything potentially relevent?

hey kennyc ,

i have installed the JDE component package 4.1 . when i open it from the start menu , i doesn't have any option of MDS . instead i open JDWP option from it.

when its screen opens it has the option of simulator , communications and output. Simulator further has the option of launching MDS wid simulator.

when i click on it , it gives error Working directory for MDS doesn't exists : C:/Program Files/Reasearch in Motion /Blackberry JDE component package 4.1/bin/../MDS

what cud n the problem ?

woot.. i figured it out for the 8700 users!

you have to download the BlackBerry Handheld Simulator v4.1.0.206

i can't post a url, but do a search.. once downloaded, run MDS, then open the simulator.. !

I have a 7100t and I keep on getting this error message:

"HTTP Error 406: Not acceptable
The page you are trying to load is not supported by the browser. Please try loading a different page."

Then when I click on details it says:

"200: Application cannot accept the content [audio/adpcm]"

What can I do?

Its not possible as far as im aware, they all endup within a single file of some propriatry format to prevent people extracting them. Possibly there way of convincing people to get a data plan. Would have better luck finding someone willing to download the apps to there bb an copying them off that.

Are your music files from Itunes in MP3 format and do you have a data plan?

All you will need to do is upload the mp3 file to coolservice.dk and you can navigate to the website afterwards to download the file onto your blackberry.
