I guess I was expecting more after upgrading from the stock OS on my new curve for TMO. OS 4.5.018 seems like more of a minor refreshing than something out of this world(based on the beta, of course). I haven't had a chance to try to video yet, but I probably wouldn't use that much anyways.

I do like the "L" theme as it keeps the spirit of the Zen theme but allows you to put more icons on the screen as well. The wireless connection seems to be dropped slightly more than with the older OS.

Also on the positive side though, I haven't had my curve reboot YET after about 14 hours. This was the main reason I wanted to upgrade was because my curve was rebooting randomly several times a day.

Youtube worked great on .18 now whenever I try playing a video it forces my phone into a hard reset. Anyone else experience this?

I also had this problem as well and also jivetalk doesn't work as well. So I just downgrade to .10 since I think its stable as well and most of the features work.

Same thing here. Doesn't seem like a big deal as it pulls in the EDGE signal pretty quickly. It seemed much slower with .10 than .18 to pull back the signal.

I dont believe it would be a 'rim' problem. But, more of a problem with your provider.

You might want to call them.

Don't believe so. Do a full erase. and put the os back on. Should restore it back to normal.

Check your signal level from the status menu also

Thanks.
Ah. I was starting to wonder why I can't play received videos from other BB users that created a video. Hopefully RIM doesn't forget to set up the .3GP file types to play on the video player.

Nothing at all wrong with that, -51dBm is a great signal level. Its fairly rare to see it that high. I've seen mine go as high as maybe -45dBm, but at that point I could throw the BlackBerry and hit the antenna tower with it. As long as its at least -85 to -90dBm, you should have a pretty reliable connection.
