Default Domino Disk Space Requirements

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be setting up a new Blackberry Professional Server on Domino, and I'm trying to get a handle on how much disk space the server would require.

We're a small company, so we'd never have more than about 20 Blackberry users. Their existing mailboxes probably average around 2.5 GB each on our Domino server.

Is there a per-user disk space recommendation for BPS? I've hunted around, but haven't found anything like that. My impression is that our disk space needs would not be significant, but I'd like to confirm that before proceeding.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Our BES occupies about 30GB right now, supporting about 45 users. You're running the BPS on a different Domino server than your mailboxes, right?

Thanks for the response, m4ilm4n.

Yes, this would be a new server, separate from our regular Domino server.

30 GB doesn't sound bad for 45 users.

you need for each blackberry user up to 20mb for the state database, save some space for the msde and the bes program files and domino data/program files.
Do they sell still 32 Gb disks? Going with the small 72 GB hard drive you will be fine.

Dunno - I'm sure there's someone out there hawking them on e-bay. I only said it occupied 30GB; it's actually built on a 300GB RAID-5 array.
