Hi there.

BES 4.0 on Dominos. Have created and applied policy to some of our devices, under the User list in the Blackberry Domain menu it lists the policy as applied successfully:

IT Policy Name: POLICY-A
IT Policy Status: Applied successfully
IT Policy Sent: Wed Mar 29 10:12:38 2006
IT Policy Received: Wed Mar 29 10:12:41 2006

However, in the handhelds menu, only one of the devices lists have using POLICY-A as it's policy, the other still say they are using Default.

I have received reports that the security timeouts I have set in the policy (5 mins) are not actually happening and the users seem to have all different timeouts.

Trust the handheld not the GUI. I've found that there are issues in the GUI that will sometimes not report the correct information, even if the database reports the correct information. You can look directly in the database under the SyncDeviceMgmtSummary table to see what is applied there.

Thankyou, I've been going nuts with this GUI as some are reporting one policy and others another. I'm glad you've confirmed this for me.
