if that happens, that may mean that BB connect will only be available on Nokia phone. :(

no, Nokia are better at business than that tankee, but I agree it would help take BB to the next level.
They have the might and the vision to make the BB more....exciting? maybe not the best choice of word but Nokia make damm good phones, why not BBs?

The chances of this happening is very silm. If you read the article

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7182412/

you get the impression that a takeover by anyone would be highly unlikey

I can tell you that this is a very slim and unlikely situation. I've got a computer store about 50 meters from RIM, and I talk to many employees, plus I know about 5 or 6 personally who usually are "in the know"

If there was talk inside the company of sale, then they would have mentioned small ammounts of information.

You'd have to be stupid to sell the company, especially selling out one of Canada's greatest tech companies.

I've actually just purchased a 7250, I'm quite glad I've got my friends on the inside, it makes learning everything so easy

The same type rumour of a takeover happened almost 2 years ago, Motorola? then; RIM apparently got itself a huge war chest through special issues of stocks. Maybe it's the other way around that RIM will take over both Motorola and Nokia? Pass on this rumour...lol

RIM is too small to takeover Motorola or Nokia in whole.
