Default Verizon Blackberry unlimited data plan price drop

Please Login to Remove!

I'm not exactly sure if this has already been brought up, I'm sure that it has but the BIS unlimited data plan for verizon customers has now been dropped to $29.99 apposed to $44.99.

Verizon won't tell you this so for the people that are unaware, get it switched, enjoy!

Unlike all of the other people who responded that this is old news, I was surprised to learn the price had been dropped as I just went through the data plans with VZW 30 days ago and the price was $44.95. When I called today to have this change made to my account, I was told repeatedly that was for the 5mb data plan only, not the unlimited.

What's up?

Unless it was a Christmas, it should be unlimited data.

I was actually on hold with VZW as I posted my last message. When my CSR finally picked up again, I insisted she call to find out why she could not find this price yet 4 other people on this BB could. Amazingly, she found you are correct and the price list she had was wrong. You must be on the Nationwide plan, not the America's Choice (which supposedly no longer exists).

Thanks for saving me $20 a month!

The feature you need to ask for is called 'email and web for blackberry', which is 29.99, not 'blackberry unlimited data' which is still 44.95. The difference is that email and web won't work with company BES servers while the more expensive package will.

it came out in November I think for me. 29.95 instead of 39.95 on sprint. other carriers are doing the same or close.

Their is always that 10% that doesnt get the word, so you may have just helped someone.

and never listen or pay any heed to dingle berries who try to rain on you. the search button is very helpful but it is not a sin to do as you have done.

Be happy! and thanks for thinking of others!

Agreed...however, how would one know to search for this if they were unaware of this?? I think this type of information deserves a pass when it comes to "re-posting" which is so commonly a target for harsh verbal lashings from those who don't understand the concept of "skimming" threads, a powerful skill that enables us to negate the threads we don't want to bother with, and move on to ones considered valuable. Granted, if we all had to skim through countless re-posts/double-posts, it would merit said verbal lashings, but in the case of saving a dime in poor economical times, give a brother a break.

I saw this last time, but everytime I went on VZW's site I saw the $45 / $39 plan... by any chance does anyone have a link to the new rates on their site that I can reference when calling up VZW?

I hate all of you people, in Canada there isn't even an unlimited plan. Telus had a promotion over the holidays but it was only on the pearl or HTC touch. Are highest plan data wise is 1000 mb but for 100$. This shit is ridiculous.

I just tried to get the cheaper data package and they told me they don't have it. Could someone please post more info (i.e. plan name, number etc)?

It's $29.99 when I check the "My Account" section of the website. I can't post a link, because its under my log in, but I took a screenshot if that helps.

As many have mentioned, unfortunately alot of CS reps have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to this. The problem is the way the feature is listed on our end, because it doesn't show a price next to the feature code through the systems that some stores use until after it is selected. The $29.99 email and web blackberry plan is unlimited and offers the same services as the $44.99 plan with the exception of BES.

Anyone still having issues changing this through customer service please feel free to PM/PIN/email me and I will be happy to make the change for you.

Another issue that has been brought up in other threads and is false, is that tethering is changed to $30 if you go to the $29.99 plan. Tethering is still available at the same $15 price point, if you are told otherwise please contact me and I will make the necessary changes.

Question on tethering. Do you get the same speeds you would get with a dedicated PC card?
