Hi.
Im having Blackberry 8900 curve
Lately it started not to ring while im getting calls. It only vibrates. And my speakerphone doesnt work as well. While I'm calling to someone there is little square on my phones screen, and there is 5stars in that square. looks like there is some code or something.
I didnt download anything, it just stoped ringing, I dont understand what the problem is. If any of you could help, I would appreciate that

Don't know about the square with the stars. I would think double checking profile settings is the first step, but you say your speaker phone doesn't work.......How about playing an audio or video and turning the volume all the way up? Can you do that, and do you hear it?

Next step would be a hard reset. With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then try again.

Could be speaker failed, or the connection to the speaker has failed.

The icon is the audio boost. Green call button - menu button - options - [and i forget where from there] basically find the "audio boost" options and change to normal and the icon will disappear

Thanks a lot for replies guys. Ira, phones volume is all the way up, but no ringtones, no alarm clock, nothing rings. and speakerphone as well. it sucks, cause i got that phone only 4 months ago, and its already having problems.

Try going to Free MP3 Ringtones, Wallpaper, Themes - Blackberry or Mobile Phone and download a new ringtone, any one and see if it works. If not doing a OS replace or upgrade may resolve the issue. last resort is the phone is defective.
