Welcome to the forums.

How many apps do you have installed? What is your file free?

Have you tried a battery pull?

All cell phones and all carriers and all users have issues.

Try starting it in safe mode.

To turn on safe mode, complete the following steps:

1. Remove and reinsert the BlackBerry smartphone battery.
2. When the red light-emitting diode (LED) light goes out, press and hold the Escape key as the BlackBerry smartphone is loading.
3. When the dialog box appears, click OK.

And then what?

Too many apps running at the same time (and pay attention to apps that are set to run in the background when closed) and low free memory are the most likley culprits.

I don't know how your contributing to this OP's problem but I think your lost. This isn't a thread looking for BBM "friends".

Use Blackberry Desktop and you can remove any apps you feel you don't need. It's a simple process.

Not sure if this will help - but awhile back I experienced a similar issue with LinkedIn running on both my 9700 and the Torch - I've since uninstalled it.

The torch is like any other piece of technical equipment. The more that you have running, the slower it will be. My suggestion is to disable any social feeds that you absolutely don't use. For instance, I have a facebook account and a twitter account. But, I have my facebook account set up through facebook to automatically post my facebook feeds to twitter. I was having an awful time with the locking up everyone was talking about. I turned off everything but facebook, since this is really the only social feed I use regularly and installed memory booster which clears the ram and that fixed the issue (of course after pulling out the battery etc). The thing that makes the blackberry torch so wonderful, is that it is the only device of it's size screen with a vertical keyboard and instant email service. I looked at everything out there (including the HTC inspire which a fantastic but huge phone) and even though the torch 2 is on the horizon, I bought this one.

So my suggestion, only have the features that you use and care about, running regularly. Use the other programs by selecting them from the application menu when you want to see them. The 600+ mhz processor is plenty fast for the things that it does, especially when you are careful about memory.

Second suggestion: as with any device, check the available ram in the applications area. If you are running low, remove any programs that you rarely use or haven't used in the last month. Chances are, you won't miss them a bit.

Third suggestion: always use the wifi whenever you can and are planning to multitask on the internet. It's faster, more battery friendly and frees up the network for messages attempting to come in.

He's posted a total of 8 messages, and if you look, every single one of them is one of these, in a completely unrelated thread. He needs to be deleted/blocked. Mods???
