I downloaded the leaked version for the 9700 2 weeks ago and it's been working alright, few glitches.. Will this version work for 9700 or is it specific to the 9780? From what I've read the only differences between 9700 and 9780 is memory and camera so in theory it should work??

No, this OS release is for the 9780.
It will NOT work on a 9700.

I've discovered the hard way that this OS won't work for T-Mobile users unless they delete some theme files from the PC before installing to the device.
