When installing OS v5.0, it took like 2 seconds and seemed like nothing was installed. My phone then rebooted, and absolutely nothing has changed, I don't even have the threaded sms!!

Whats happening??

OS 5.0 does not install in 2 seconds. Verify what system you are running on your device. If you are running OS 5.0+, then you just have to enable threaded SMS using the options screen from the SMS application.

I don't recall that being a options to enable. Where exactly do you find this?

If so, there are countless users who want to turn it off.

Me, I like it threaded.

i checked and verified that my OS has not been updated, so there must be something I'm doing incorrectly or something is going wrong during the update. Any ideas?

I downloaded OS v5.0, installed it, deleted the vendor.xml file, plugged in BB, went through the Loader (which took a abnormally short amount of time), and my OS still remains unchanged. Any ideas?

I believe for OS 5.0+ you must have a data plan for the upgrade to work.
