We recently rolled your BES 4.0 sp2 with a mix of 7290's and 7100t's. THe 7100t users are complaining that they want the security lock feature removed. Since this isn't going to happen, they now have requested that when the 7100t is locked, that the cell phone portition remains unlocked.

Is this possible?

Yes it is,

I did the same for some of my users because they had BT car kits that could not access the phone when locked.

Create a new policy or modify your current policy and set the key "allow outgoing calls when locked" to "true". That's it.

You may want to manually push the new policy change to the devices (I didn't have to).

I did the same thing the first time.

Is there a way to do this without BES? Is there a setting on the BlackBerry? I use a 7520.
