Does anyone know if there is any way or any program out there that allows you transfer .jpg's (or any type of image) from your PC to your BB?? Thanks...

eFile works somewhat but is not free.

Best method I have found is to host the images on a public web server and browse to it via a browser on your BB.

For me, I have a page for pics/apps/ringers where I can upload new items and then just browse to them to save them.

You can email them to yourself. If you're running 4.0 you'll be able to save the image and use it.

Other than that - there are plenty of free webhosting companies. Stick it up on, say, Tripod, and point your browser towards it.

(for the 400th time)

You can e-mail pictures to yourself if you are running handheld 4.0 AND BES 4.0 (either corporate or hosted liked Mailstreet).

Just having 4.0 on your BlackBerry, with BWC, does nothing. You must have BES 4.0 also.

What the hell is in the bes that makes it so "powerful" I guess would be the word to use at this point. I mean seriously what the hell is in the bes that allows it to save photos and ringtones that you cant do with bwc? Not everyone is or can be on a bes.. so.. wtf.. are you honestly telling me that there is no other way or no one is making or could make loader software. I really could see a use/need for some sort of loader that would let people put files on thier blackberry without a bes.. I am glad that someone showed me how to use the jde loader to make jar/jads into cod's so that I can load them onto my blackberry.. but why not photos and ringtones? Aggrevating this is..

I feel you pain. I have the Nextel 7510. Is there anyway to save pictures on it, I've read post about saving pics on a public server then directing to that address but I can't save the pics or anything. I know this is a repeaated topic over and over and over but I still have not recieved a clear cut answer for my Nextel 7510.

So what's the best apporach to take with my IT department to try and get them to pay the $1500 CAD and upgrade the BES to 4.0?

I'm trying to think of the best way to approach them. Any IT gurus out there have a solid arguement I could launch?

For the 7510 and 7520 users, it appears Nextel has upgraded the BWC so you can view and save images. I have being doing so without a problem for at least a week now.

You might just need to resend a service book. For more info see this thread...

I was about to point out the same thing. I just upgraded my 7510 from 3.7 up to 4.0 and I have no issues at all uploading my own pics to the BB. I have my family now as my background and The Doors as the screensaver (BTW if there is a technical term for the screensave on the BB it would be great if someone could tell me what it's called :D).

Nextel updated maybe a week or so, the only thing about it is What You Send Is What You Get. You cannot edit pictures from email attachments.

Good Point Though!

For the newbies like me, I hope this helps you out. I just transferred several pics to my 7130e and its easy. You just do the following:

email the images to yourself
save the email
under tools, go to saved files
open the email and expand the first attachment so that you can choose "full content" - hit the retrieve option
After the picture is displayed on the screen, hit save and the picture will be saved to the Pictures folder.
