Word, Excel, PDF Files - How to get on BB?

I am changing to BB from several years of Palm/Windows PDA's with memory card slots, etc --- How do you get Word, Excel, or Acrobat documents into the BB? I currently do now have a reader for any of these, so I dont' know, but does the app that reads them handle the "syncing" to get the docs on the device? Is e-mailing the documents to it the only way? I am assuming (hoping) there is a way to keep a few documents "sync'd" between the BB and my desktop.

I get .doc, .pdf files emailed to me on the regular. You can also sync up your files via desktop connection. On my stock berry 7290 non bes, email and sync is the only way to 'manage' files on the berry... And I use the word manage lightly. Oh btw for some reason all pdf. Files don't view correctly. I've heard of a few aftermarket guys that tout .pdf, .exl, and .doc interoperablilty...but use caution because the main one I hear about 'e' something. I believe it is 'e' garbage.. Oh I'm sorry, I mean efile. My main issue with these and most others is the fact that the pricing scruture $ucks, and the product is more like a 'bad hack' if you as me...hehe

Thanks for the reply... I hate to hear that, because I really hope to be able to replace my Axim with this unit, but I do use Word and Excel files quite a bit, and I have a couple of fairly important pdf files I'd like to be able to keep on it too.

I hope you got the point.. I do love my bb, but there needs to be better sw developers. I'm sure there is an ok app out there that allows you to make folders and manage the files that you mentioned. The software that I mentioned does advertise to do what you asked about. I hear people that have problems with the sw, but I also hear about people with success. Do a search on it and judge for yourself. .

I am on BES, I have created a sub folder to my inbox where I store several documents I always need. Works great but you hve to email them to yourself then put them in the folder using the BB. I then do a manual reconsile and can them see them both from the BB and me email. Changes I make to them via my email do appear via the BB.

RepliGo is a great for viewing pdf and xls files also. But like others have said, there is a price for convience. Repligo does allow you to save the document and you can view it like you would on a pc.
