Question Enoughs enougt NO ICON for Google Talk

Please Login to Remove!

OK,

Searched and read lots of pages here and "Googled" them and no answer found on why I don't see a Google Talk Icon after installing the app via OTA and USB.

I have tried 3 times, soft reset, removed battery, re-registed Host Routing Tables and zip. The website states BB 8800

Its listed under "Applications" on the BB and via Desktop Manager but NO BLOODY ICON !!!!

I'm on BES but no restrictions are in place, service book shows BBFS1 Active.

PLEASE HELP All i want to do is chat to iChat on MAC FOR FREE !!

It's not under a subfolder (depending on your theme)?

I wasn't aware you could use Google Talk with iChat on your Mac. I thought it was AIM and Jabber.

I think so as well but there are certain "tricks" you can do to get it to work but i can't test them without the base app.

My other option would be to use the standard Blackberry AIM app but I can't download that from the site as i get an error. Maybe someone else is hosting the Blackberry AIM app or could send me a zip.

Default Are you on BES?

Is this a corporate Blackberry? If so, your company may have IT Policy restricting this app. Installation itself goes through because they have to allow RIM app installed for the DST 2007 Patch, but the icon is removed. That's what my company does.

Yes I am with a corporation and according to our IT they haven't restricted any apps, but I have emailed them today to double check.

Thanks to all for your comments
