Default Video on BB 8700

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone had any success viewing video streams on a BB? Any sites I can try out?

I would really like to find a site where I can watch latest news headlines easily on the BB 8700 while waiting in traffic (no, not while driving).

I tried via www.di.fm but it didn't work on WMA, AAC, or MP3. Maybe now that the Blackberry is more capable some third party developer will release a better media player.

Wirelessly posted (CrackBerry 8700: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Really - how hard could it be? I can't believe it isn't already capable...

I have tried that along with normal size mp3's. There seems to be not enough caching to let that happen.

video.google is no more than a flash app. I don't believe BB can handle flash. And I'm pretty sure it can't handle video either.

I guess it's okay because I've got my iPod to play music, and my PSP to play video. I used to have the Motorola MPx220 (Windows Smartphone Flip Phone) And it could do everything; Video, MP3, Streams, Phone, e-Mail etc... but it was such a converged device that although it did everything it did NOTHING well! So I prefer to split up my devices now, Keep thing as seperate as possible.

It has the speed - While tethered to my laptop I watched video successfully at several websites and even viewed my beloved Slingbox (albeit with somewhat poor performance).

It should be possible to develop a java media player, but the content is the problem...
