Default Theme Overlord (Icon)

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using this theme since it was released...kind of cool...really dark. Being involved with AF Space Command it has turned some heads around our detachment...all the rest of those suckers have 7750's and are drooling over my 8700c.

I am a huge fan of the alt-nmll for numerical readings of signal strength. This does not exist with this theme. If you do alt-nmll the signal bars just disappear.

Anyone else noticed this?

I liked the theme till I started browsing the web and some apps. The background is too dark, whatd you think?

It is dark....i have my backlight set at 40%...I guess I'm getting used to it. If I switch back to the Cingular theme at this point, I'll probably go blind from the brightness!! Fantastic screen!

And one more thing....this theme does not have a "display" for edge. It has GSM and EDGE but no edge.

What the deuce? I guess it was overlooked.(?)

yes i use this theme too and the alt nmll does work. The problem is the signal number are written in white and they are right near the upper right of the screen right on top of that white/silver border. if you look just above and to the left of the cut off corner of the border when you do alt nmll you'll see the tops of the numbers. There is no way in a theme to make alt nmll NOT work.

As for the EDGE edge, the phone still does it but the font they use for this theme in that area doesn't make it look any different from caps or not.
if you alt-cap-del reboot you phone and stare at the EDGE you'll see when in lowercase the E looks more square and the center horizontal line in E meets the vertical. When EDGE goes to caps the E get slightly more rounded and the horizontal line goes slightly past the vertical. Its difficult to tell but the change is there.

Sure...I was not suggesting that the phone wasn't doing these things...I just thought the theme wasn't displaying these actions.

I see what your saying about the nmll. That's too bad.

As for the edge....I stand corrected.

I do actually see a slight change in the font...have to really watch it though.

Thanks for your reply.

I love the theme! I have my "Clone Trooper" as the background image, and so this theme works really well for the whole "Star Wars" theme I have going on my 8700c. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't come as a list! I much prefer a list over icons! The list makes it so I can see more of my background image! I don't know if anyone here has play the game: "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" (or KOTOR for short) but this theme reminds me a lot of the color theme of that game! The blue, black type deal.

Yes hopefully the theme editors will get better allowing us to edit this theme. cause i would round that border around the signal numbers so I could use nmll.

And be careful really watching that slight change in font, the more I looked at it the less I noticed.

I tried the overlord theme just the other day. I did find it dark but went into my pictures and chose a wallpaper of mine. After that between the dark tones and my wallpaper it looked pretty awesome. I also noticed that if you hit ALT then NMLL there is no numeric display. Bars for me it is then when I use this theme.
