Default 8700r Battery Status

Please Login to Remove!

I recently got a 8700r (Rogers)thru work. I've downloaded the 8700 manual for the FAQ page. It says to Go to options/status to find the % left. When I go to Options, there is no "status" for me to click on. Is the manual carrier specific ? or is it something our IT guys change when they set it up for me. If not how do I check the battery ? This is my first day with it.

Wirelessly posted (8300: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

It has probably been blocked by your IT admin. That is the correct location to check the battery percent.

The heading is marked Options-Security.

Do anyone know of another way to check the battery status.

that is the way, as described.

If you load BBToday, it will give you a battery percentage as well.

Also, on your homescreen, you can find it by holding down the ALT key, whle typing E A C E. Scroll down to Battery Level.

Good luck.

I'll have to use the shortcut (more like a longcut Ha!) I don't think I'm allowed to instal apps on it. I'll have to talk to our IT guys why they remove the option.

Thanks all, for your help

Got it figured out. I did say this was my first day with the unit and later said the heading was "Option-Security". That exactly where I was, I was in options and was stuck on the security page. Just found out I had an "escape" button, I was always going close with the scroll wheel. What a dope Thanks all for you help and patience. Lots to learn.
