Default BIS Google Syncing and Google Apps

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

I have just got a Blackberry 8520 with T-mobile UK.

My company uses Google Apps to provide email, contacts and calendars.

I was reading here

blackberry. com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB19 269K (sorry, can't post links yet)

about the ability to not only sync email but also Calendars and Contacts too, without the use of the Google Sync program. I tried selecting "Gmail" as the guide indicates, but it claims my username and password is incorrect. I'm guessing this feature is not supported for Gmail accounts on Google Apps? I couldn't find anything suggesting that was the case, but I just wanted it confirmed just in case.

If that is the case, will using the Google Sync program function over the BIS internet connection? I have not paid for an unlimited internet plan, only a Blackberry booster plan.

Thanks!

To get a features of a blackberry working you need the blackberry booster. But itself only covers data of emails downloading. It does not give you a BIS connection to anything else.
You need the internet booster to cover the data of any other apps or internet usage.

T-mobile UK for some unknown reason has split the "blackberry data plan" so you're required to have both.

Thanks for the reply. Interestingly I can connect to things without any APN settings configured in the settings menu. Hopefully I am not in for a massive bill!
