Just wondering if anyone has experience using a Verizon Blackberry in Taiwan. I understand they have EVDO and voice is billed @ $0.69/min, but there's no mention of data or blackberry. I have an Unlimited Blackberry Plan.

I don't believe your data will work unless the Taiwanese carrier offers BlackBerry. The best resource would probably be Verizon BB support for the answer.

Just an update. Voice works great. I get 5 bars of 1x coverage, but no blackberry/data. I have the "Data Connection Refused".. Oh well.. Maybe I should have gotten a Cingular 8700c....

Do not know about Verizon, I had use my AT&T (Cingular) many times in Taiwan It is expensive cost USD 0.0048/KB and data zoming. Totally about $7 USD for 1 MB of data

If you're with a carrier that offers it, it might be worthwhile to check into an international unlimited Blackberyr data plan for while you're overseas.
