Default Installing Management Console on Windows 7

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone successfully installed BES 4.1.6.9 Management Console on Windows 7? I was able to get it to work fine on Vista by replacing the setup.exe with the setup.exe from the 4.0 console. It will install with no problems but when I try launching Blackberry Manager I get the error that Blackberry Manager has stopped working with a problem description showing an APPCRASH involving bbmgrw32.exe. I know that it's a long shot that anyone else has tried installing the Management Console on Windows 7 but any suggestins would be appreciated.

We tried that too. It still gives the APPCRASH error with bbmgrw32.exe. Did RIM ever put out a version of BES 4.1 Management Console that was compatible with Vista? We were able to get it to wok with Vista using a work around but we never saw an official release that was Vista compatible.

Not that I know of ... that said, I've all but given up on a remote BlackBerry Manager console ... more trouble than they're worth.

I just did a search, and hate to bump an old thread, but I followed the steps here:

Can anyone get BES Manager 4.1 SP6 to run on Vista... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

to get it working on Vista (I used 4.1.7 instead of 4.1.6 as referenced in that thread, but it worked).

I assume since Vista and 7 are similar this would work? I don't have 7 installed to test it.. I might be able to get a copy..
