Default Curve 8900: Black Bezel

Please Login to Remove!

Thinking of putting a black bezel on my curve but just not to sure.
Off the site it's 13.99 + any shipping, I'd assume.

What do you think, silver or black?

Something tells me this is just about the average price, but if you have a cheaper site I'd love to know.

Be careful, I tried a blk one and the design around the speaker was a bit different, it gave me a lower sound quality. I switched back. Nothing like OEM.

"Product Name: BlackBerry Curve 8900 OEM black bezel
Product Description
BlackBerry Curve 8900 OEM black bezel

Please note, the top buttons, foam gasket and ear-speaker mesh needs to be transferred from your existing silver bezel as these parts are not included"

It's OEM as far as the product is advertised, don't know how true that is would assume blackberry would offer it out of the box with the black bezel, the only thing I'm concerned with is transferring the top button stickers (Lock/mute).

i've recently changed the bezel to black. it was pretty simple. just watched a youtube video before the operation.
couple things to note.
-you need to take the round red dash sticker that is pasted on the top left of the phone (back). this will in turn void your warranty..
-be careful when you are taking off the taped contacts for the top two buttons, gotta be smart about peeling it off.. i used a mini screwdriver and helped it along... no prob!

as far as i can see, the bezel is oem that i have, but i guess some company paints them, looks pretty solid, have had it on since monday and no issues to report.

i have images of the silver bezel and black bezel that ill post asap for you (im sure there are lots out there though).

I was at first hesitant to change the bezel, but i was having issues with the trackball so was forced to do it, as no warranty anyways (AFAIC)..

Looks like the one off the site. Seems pretty seamless besides pealing off the contacts.
Don't have a warranty and have already taken off the sticker (warranty) to open the phone to clean the trackball.

I like the white trackball for the 8900. haha

If you do it with the video from youtube, it's simple.
