ok, so i downloaded the newest OS for my 7130e off blackberry's website, but i had to follow a link from a different cellular provider to get the OS download, because they did not list USCC. will it still work since it's not from USCC? or will some of the settings be messed up and i won't be able to do anything with my phone anymore?

As long as the OS is for a 7130e and not a 7100/7105t or 7130c it will work. AFter you install the Desktop manager and the OS package, delete the vendor.xml located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.

Then connect the BB and run Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.

wait, so how come when i go to 'About' it still shows that i have the same version of 4.1.0.384 and not 4.1.0.563??

Power off your blackberry, remove the battery, place the battery back in and then see if it changes.
