Default Signal Low App

Please Login to Remove!

Hi.
Does anyone know about an app that notifies when the signal stength drops below a certain level.
I'm self employed as a heating engineer and loosing a call could mean loosing a job, so it's very important I don't miss a call. I'm working in Nottingham and have often completely lost signal. If I had an app that could alert me when the signal is low I could put my Blackberry, say, near a window in an attemp to stay connected.
I'm using Storm 1 on Vodafone.
Thanks for any help.

Just look at the device and see the signal level (number of bars) at the top of the screen.

Default Low Signal App

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is that I loose signal when I'm working.
I cannot be constantly checking my phone's signal stength bars when I'm busy working and the phone will be in my pocket.
So some kind of audible/vibrate alert when the signal is getting low would be useful.
I thought I saw an app that did this some months ago, but cannot find it now.
In the meantime I guess I'll have to keep pulling out my phone to check signal strengh every 20 mins or so.

Wirelessly posted

I'm not trying to be funny or criticize you, but if you're working and the phone alerts you about a low signal, what would you do? I mean, if you don't want to check your phone every few minutes for signal strength, what will you do if the alert goes off every few minutes?
You may want to try to set your LED so that it alerts you to signal strength, and just keep your phone out handy when you're working.

I remember seeing an app that would turn your antenna off if there was no signal, and turn it on periodically to check to see if it's back, all in an effort to save battery in fringe areas.

I don't recall one that just notifies you.

Try this app: BlackBerry App World - NB BattStat and Alerts
Don't have it, but seems to meet your requirements.
