Default Weird problem with the Date/Time

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently traveling with my unit in the Marine Corps. When we landed in Louisiana I set the correct time zone for the area I was in and set the source of time to network, everything was fine.

At least once a day the phone changes the date to about 5 hours ahead but yet the network time still shows the correct time. This forces me to go back into the Date/Time option menu and Update Time.

Anyone else experience similar problems?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

You're not connecting it to a computer, are you? Also, try "BlackBerry" for the date and time. It could be a glitch in the network.

thats exactly what it was. im using the bb as a tethered modem and as soon as it syncs with the desktop manager it changes the time to whatever time the computer has.

thanks John!!!

Going off this post, how do you hook up the BB to act as a tethered modem? Just use the USB cord?

With Verizon you need to pay for the tethering plan and install the software.
