Yea, it's not on the web site yet. :(

What's the chance I'll be able to walk into a T-Mo store today and pick one of these up outright?

I'm sure counting on it. I pushed all my appointments to the afternoon to go get one........

Please someone post if they have success at a store this morning.

I went to the store in Atlanta, GA this AM and they didn't have the necessary info in Streamline to do the handset upgrade. After calling Customer Care and Help Desk, they were still unable to upgrade my 7100 to the 8700. The rep is holding 1 of the 5 units they have until the system allows her to do the upgrade. This is frustrating...

I went to the store by Georgia Tech on 5th and Spring this morning. You're absolutely right; the system hasn't updated for them to do the upgrade but the salesmen there were able to upgrade me by hand and fax the confirmation to the T-Mobile office. They should have been able to do yours manually as well - maybe call and ask, or go to another store.

What did they charge you for the handset upgrade?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7100/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

The store I went to on LI has 20 but they couldn't sell one to me because it's not in the system. Was told to come back this afternoon. =NLK=

If you don't mind posting it, what did you pay for the phone on a 2 year upgrade?

I first went to the T-mobile store in watertown, ma (a suburb of boston); they're a smaller store and wouldn't sell me the 8700g for full retail or even for upgrade!

So I went to another store (Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA) and they sold me one for $429 without a contract extension. It was $349 if you signed a 2 year extension.

I got the same....

$350 w/ a 1 year contract, and if you sign 2 years you get a $50 rebate by mail.

Store has 4 left now....

This is the Westfarms mall store in CT.

GUYS GO TO MALL STORES, they are a lot nicer than the other ones!!!

Got mine this morning, $349 outright purchase. They didn't have upgrades in their system. They had 5 in stock and even said they didn't expect a run on them as data isn't big there.

Dammit - mine wouldn't sell it to me because of no upgrades in the system. They are holding one for me and are supposed to call as soon as the upgrades are in the system. If I don't hear anything by lunch I may call them and see if they'll sell without an upgrade.

Got mine this morning for a T-mobile store here in Buffalo - in and out in 10 minutes - returned the T-mobile MDA (piece of crap) that I bought last week (I know, I know)

Love it so far!

Well I just went to my local tmobile store and like everyone else, was told that they couldn't upgrade for me because the system wouldn't allow it. Told me to check back later today.

Also called tmobile customer care, and was told that they are aware the system is not allowing upgrades, and said it should take up to 24 hours for the system to be updated. *sigh*
