Can't say much for Iphone. If you travel overseas and take a BB and Iphone, unless you disable the voice mail you will see very high Iphone bill. An example. I was in the Bahamas for about an hours useabe on both the Iphone cost me $100 and the BB was about $9. That was mainly because the Iphone will automatically download voice messages. Also Iphone speaker phone sux. The Iphone keypad is very small and not resizeable.

I definitely agree about the dropped calls and that was the final straw for me Sunday night that made me decide to trade/sell the iPhone. I was on the phone Sunday night and dropped the same call twice. I couldn't pick up any reception at my wife's grandmothers home. The speaker does leave alot to be desired as well as well as allowing the option to customize your SMS ringtones. I did not like the fact that Apple had a notification for call, texts, VMs, but NOT emails when your phone was locked. So you didn't know you had an email until you unlocked the phone and actually saw the email. The battery life required that I keep a charger around me 24/7. I had one @ work, one @ home, and a car charger. Once Apple hammers out the issues I'm pretty sure the iPhone can be the complete package.

Why would it not work on T-Mobile's 3G network? I think AT&T is the Bold carrier, but it should be unlockable...

IIRC, the frequencies between the companies are not the same for 3G.

Haven't posted in quite some time but this topic got my attention. I have a BB Curve 8300 for work and got intrigued with the iphone 3g and bought one of those too.

For hard-core messaging: Blackberry
Everything else: Iphone

If the iphone had a qwerty keyboard and supported Lotus Domino/Notes natively that I need, it'd be a kickass device. Messaging is very important to me but I also do a lot of HTML browsing. I find myself picking up the iphone when I want to browse the net and don't feel like powering up the laptop.

Upgrading to OS 4.5 on my Curve has brought things a lot closer to the Bold with improved HTML email and browsing and, with the exception of 3G support in the Bold, don't know if it's worth the upgrade from my Curve to the Bold otherwise.

Sell the iPhone get a bold and buy yourself an 8GB or 16GB media card when it comes out. and according to the BGR review the battery does last at least a day of heavy heavy use. Media player is no iPhone but it is a vast improvement. and videos on the Bold should be great as well because it is a wider screen the previous BB's and a higher pixel density then your iPhone.

From what I saw, the Bold has 3 3g frequencies, it should work almost every company in the world, Right? lol. Most companies pick ONE of the three. If the bold has all 3? lol.

That's really good to hear. I have 4 gb until I can get at least 12, or 16. the 4 is holding me over so I'm glad. But listening to music, chatting on BBM, JiveTalk, or even going through menus leaves the phone ... REALLY laggy! It sucks. But the Bold (and newer upper models) will have double the processor. I saw on youtube, I think crackberry?, that the phone works great at multitasking a lot of things at once. So that makes me happy hehe.

So for the moment I'll hang onto my curve, until the bold comes out. It's just SOOO damn sexy! lol.

I have both BB 8310 (red) and iPhone 3G. My reason for changing is that BIS doesn't support OTA Calendar and Contact Sync, and I believe it defeats the object of having a BlackBerry if you have to manually sync it to get this data. On top of this I have to wait 15 minutes for BIS to poll my mail account

I have kept my curve as I will be taking it abroad with me as o2 data roaming charges for the iPhone are extortionate. I think for the average user the iPhone is easier to use, and a better deal but for the Business User that has BES and has a Bold (I am ex rim I have seen what it can do) the BlackBerry Solution is far superior

I meant to add this to. The lack of multitasking and more importantly any kind of IM goes against the iPhone, I do miss having BB Messenger

I lasted 3 days before I went back to my B'berry. Key things for me were:

- poor email functionality
- lack of task list
- keyboard
