Adhesive Screen Protectors...
Please Login to Remove!
hello all maybe you guys can help me...
for some reason everytime i search for screen protectors for my 8700c they all come up with non adhesive ones. i want adhesive ones this way i know they wont come loose and i ant find any...
can some one please help me out with finding vinyl or something safe enough for my screen that i can buy in bulk and cut to size? thank you in advance...

They have them custom made for most models...they cover most of the phone (depending on model) including the screen. I think you can also buy in bulk. |

He's talking about "adhesive" screen protectors.

Those screen protectors stick on very good. I have no problems with mine so far. As long as you install them correctly, you shouldn't have any problems with them coming off.

How much more "adhesive" do you want? Mine is stuck pretty permanently. It's the invisible shield version but same thing. It aint coming off without trying! I would consider them adhesive. 
Edit:...ok, then maybe these are not what you are looking for but you put them on once and they are awesome. You can't even tell they are there. You don't have to replace them very often, either. They last.

I don't know what kind I bought about two years ago but I'm still on the second one. I only kept the first one on about a month or so. I wonder where the other 8 are???

The BSE screen protectors are adhesive, but they are adhesive like decals or window tint - not simple stickers. You dip them in soap+water before you put them on. Once they dry they do not come off.

Get the ones from Screen Patronus. Though they are NOT adhesive, they do not come off easily. I know, in the moist humid south against my sweaty face, it has not come off. I have used two of them in one year.

I would like to try the screen patrons, do you have a website for them. I am usig the screen guardz and not very impressed seems you can never get all the bubbles out and that drives me nuts.

I bought some generic Fellowes adhesive screen protectors about a year ago. They were packaged in 10 sheets, you cut them to size. I use them on my iPod, my 8700g. I can get 2 8700g screens per sheet or 3 iPod screens per sheet.
They work fine. If I had a touch screen device (like my old Treo 600), i would prefer some more high-tech screen protector. But these work fine. And very affordable. I got them at CompUSA, but you can find these everywhere. Look for a yellow packet.
They have saved my 8700g from some pretty nasty scratches already.
Caution, they are a bit fiddly to put on correctly -- to avoid bubbles.

I agree, they are fiddly, but if the bubbles aren't too big they work themselves out, or at least mine did. I use about 3 a year, I don't change them after the very first scratch as that is going to happen, I wait until the thing is pretty well scratched.

Not sure if this might be too pricey for you but its adhesive and it sticks on, however, it does a little more than protects your screen. Its a privacy filter that narrows your horizontal viewing angles so those standing next to you will only see a black screen while you're viewing it perfectly head on. I just got it last night and it is very hard plastic like and not thin so it feels very high quality. I was getting tired of sitting on the train and using my BB and someone sitting next to me is always watching (not to mention rude). Now when they look, they see nothing at all, as if my BB is off. You can do a search on google, they're pricey at around $35 for each.

Call me unconventional, but...
On my old phone, and on my 8100, I have used clear packing tape with great success.
Get a roll of Scotch-brand extra-clear packing tape. Apply tape with the edge of a credit card to smooth bubbles out. When you need a new protector, cut a new piece. Work perfectly, cheap, cut to fit.

I use "Writeright" from Fellowes for my 8700g. They can be found at your local RadioShack for approx. $15.00 for 10 protectors. You'll have to size them to fit your screen since they are universal for other pda's, ipods, and game devices allowing you to actually get 20 screen protectors if you cut them in half. They are adhesive and I utilize them only to cover the screen (obviously). Only complaint that I have is that they do have a "hazy" appearance after approximately 1 month of use! Just peel it off and replace it! Easy and economical!!
