Default Data differences between mobile maps and maps.google.com

Please Login to Remove!

I just noticed some pretty significant differences between mobile maps
and maps.google.com.

ely rd, 18938 - Google Maps

and here's a screen shot of the same area from my Blackberry running
Google Maps 1.6.4

Any ideas why the maps would be so different? Seems kinda crazy that the mobile maps would use different data than the regular maps. FWIW, BB Maps displays the same map as the mobile Google map. Both of those are very wrong. Only Ely roads exists in the physical world...

The disconnect between the normal maps and mobile maps is pretty surprising to me. The new position editing feature in the normal maps program is cool, but it sure would be nice if those changes were reflected on the mobile maps as well.
