Go to the messages screen.
Click the wheel
Select "View Folder"
Select "Phone call Logs"

Select the top date and click "delete prior"

And through the message application you have gone into View Folders and selected the Phone Call Logs? Once done, highlight the uppermost date, click the trackwheel and select Delete Prior. Should you have any log entries that were above the uppermost date you will need to mass-select them and delete as well. I can't imagine if you're following those instructions that your call logs are not being deleted. I've done it myself a number of times.

Please create a new thread for your issue, posting it in the middle of an unrelated thread won't help you much.

Try this then... Plug in your phone, go into the desktop manager and go to backup.
Go to advanced and on the right you'll see your phone data, click on the call logs entry and click "Clear"

Hold down the Alt key
While still holding the Alt key, type in the letters L G L G.
This will bring up an Event Log screen.

click once and click clear log

Tried that before I posted........I hope I am not confusing the issue. When I go to the phone icon.......calls that I have placed or incoming are what I am trying to delete. One at a time it works but can't seem to delete all

Hmm try powering off and removing the battery, I'm about stumped at this point unless you deleted just incoming or outgoing, because when i did what I told you, I got an empty call screen.

From the messages screen, type ALT P
That will bring up the call log. Scroll to the top, click the wheel and Delete Prior
Don't know what else to suggest.
