Default Can I use ANY USB cable with the 7100i?

Please Login to Remove!

Is the USB cable special in any way, or will any ol' USB cable work, such as a sony digital camera cable? (Would like to keep one at work and use existing cable at home)

Thanks!

Question OK to use any AC adapter to miniUSB power supply?

Are all AC adapters to mini USB plugs also OK to use with Blackberries? It seems like the amps(?) out are different between the Blackberry and "generic" AC adapters I have, but I don't really know if that matters or not.

Like the others said, any mini-usb will do.

As for AC, my old BB came with a charger with removable usb cable. I now use the AC adapter alone to charge Ipod's and it works fine.

I have used my Sony Digital camera USB cable and it works fine to sync and charge my BB. I would think they all should be ok as long as they have the mini-end.

I believe that the USB specification has a set voltage so you can use any cable from any device or vendor as long as it is the same type of connector for the BB
