Make web browser GPRS data appear as email on T-Mobile Unlimited International plan

Does anyone know how to configure my BlackBerry applications (i.e., Browser, RSS, IM client, etc.) to use data that appears as Email related data rather than GPRS usage data?
I am currently living and working in Shanghai and I have the T-Mobile USA BlackBerry Unlimited Email package for $19.99/month. Recently, I have started seeing charges on my monthly bill for GPRS data usage, but the charges are not consistent. I've called T-Mobile several times and depending on who I talk to, they give conflicting claims as to whether BlackBerry web browsing is included in the plan.
What I really want to do it to make my web browser GPRS data appear as email on T-Mobile Unlimited International plan. I am using a BlackBerry 8800 on the BIS (not BES) plan. Can I "fake" GPRS usage data as email data by changing connection settings? If so, where and how do I do this? For example, I am using FreeRange RSS reader and under Settings > Account menu, there is a "Connection type" menu with the following options: 1) Automatic, 2) BES with MDS, 3) BIS-B, 4) WAP, 5) Direct TCP/IP and 6) WiFi (if supported).
I have seen lots of chatboard discussion regarding whether or not data is included in the T-Mobile unlimited international blackberry plan, but no discussion on how to make data usage appear as email data. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance!
