So I previously (4.2.2.169) was able to be notified of new e-mail messages on my 8830 with a vibrate. This disappeared when I added 4.5.0.77. Any thoughts on where it went or if anyone else has the problem? Not bad enough for me to go back to the ancient OS - just wondering.

You lost any ability to vibrate?

Did you check your Profile settings? Routinely, those settings are transferred over.

well, that's just it. It kind of did it on it's own before. Never had to 'set' anything. The profile is set to normal (not 'phone only') but I just bumped it to loud to see what happens.

bumping it to loud won't affect the vibration. Edit your normal profile > Messages and see if it is set to vibrate or tone?
