Default new bb user, start me off right!

Please Login to Remove!

i bought a 7210, (i know it's primitive, i'll upgrade when i know i like what bb has to offer)...so for now here's my story.
I got just the phone and a charger. i have no software for it at all, and i want to be able to use it with my mac. also, i'm not sure if the phone needs any updating, if so, any links? (in 'about', it says "platform 1.6.0.72)
also, is it normal to not have any way to change the ring? it just beeps twice and that's the only option? other than buying one i guess...?
hm..what else...?any general advice? how much am i missing with a discontinued phone? is the 7210 that bad?
Thanks for reading all of this, and if you feel like replying with any help, thanks even more.

Check out the Mac Users forum - lots of information there about using a BB with a Mac (and it's not always pretty).

Check it out.

also don't forget getting a BB plan. It will give you just about everything that BB offers for the 7520.

FWIW there should be documentation at RIM's BlackBerry site as well.

And try the Help App on your BB Home Screen. It has a lot of good info too.

Hope this helps.
