I spoke with my TMobile Rep today and asked if the 8300 would be offered to my company under the corp plan. She said they are skipping it and will instead offer the 8320 that will be available mid-summer. I am guessing June or July.

She said the difference between the 8300 and 8320 will be wi-fi and TMo at Home, as previously stated, and which we already knew. No GPS, which we already knew.

Very nice. Thanks for the information. I will wait for the 8320 - I think.

I know this must have been asked before, but I have been drinking and can't effectively search:

Does the possible wifi model only allow you to use the wifi for the tmo@home type service or will we actually be able to browse and receive email and other data with the wifi chip?

I am going out on a limb here and guess that you may be forced to use [email address] that won't come free. TMO has to make money on it or else why would they spend money on including it. Its like GPS and Push2Talk on Cingular. Features are there but hey aren't free to use.

I also spoke to my T-mo rep, who said that that they won't be releasing the 8300, but will jump to the 8320. She actually said that they will release it in June/July.

So, we can move from guess to confirmation by a T-mo rep....whatever that is worth.

I just bought a BB for my wife. Regarding the plans, here is the scheme they are offering (T-Mobile@US) for BB users

$9.99 - BES (email) only, no internet.
$19.99 - Unlimited data plan (GPRS/data/internet)
$29.99 - GPRS + BES
$29.00 - GPRS + WIFI

I did not know about the $9.99 plan. Actually CSR on the phone described this but store did not know what I was talking about.

They also have $5.99 T-Zone and $9.99 T-ZonePro. But these are only meant for phones, not BB. Because the BB cannot register to the BB network, browser icon is not activated. I know this by experience and I had to update to the $19.99.

I am not sure how all these work because I was getting different information from every CSR on the phone and not even mention the guys at the store. I would recommend first deciding the phone and then playing with the plans.

Hope it helps those looking for new devices.
