Default Deleted user still retains PIN when readded to BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

BES v4.0 SP6
Local Exchange Server is 2003 SP2.
Remote Exchange Server is 2003 SP2.
Blackberry is a 7290.

One of our users who is on a different site uses our BES server to get his emails from his server on that site.

Anyway he started having some major issues so i thought we'd just delete his account from the BES server and add him back the next day.

He wiped the handheld and i deleted his account and went to add him the next day. When i did this the PIN number for his blackberry was there. Now i have deleted and recreated many accounts and this has never happened to me.

Is there anything i can do to rectify this.

Welcome to the forums.

That is quite odd - never seen that one. I assume when you delete him you are clicking 'Yes' to 'remove the Blackberry information' from the user's mailbox, right?

Have you tried running DBCLEAN on his workstation (don't run it on the BES)?

Thanks.

I haven't tried that yet. I'll do that now.

Default New problem.

Right i got the user to run dbclean and now i am unable to re-add the user to the blackberry server.

When i try and add them i get an error message 'Failed to add user %username% to the Blackberry server. Unable to open mailbox for user. The users mailbox may have been deleted.'

I can add a new user from the same server very easily and his works perfectly.

I have checked the permissions for both the store and the users mailbox and they are fine.

Is there something i need to do on my BB server??
